Bouquet & palate: lean, opulent and rich aromas of aniseed, ripe red fruits, coffee and tobacco; smooth, round tannins give structure and a lasting finish.Serving Temperature: serve at about 18 °C.
Soil type: slightly alkaline due to the presence of red lime
Vinification: First comes a long fermentation accompanied by maceration of the skins at controlled temperature. The second step is malolactic fermentation and a 12 to 18-month aging period in French oak barrels. Further aging in the bottle completes the evolution.
Productivity: 2 tons/acre
