Katà is made from pure Catalanesca grapes grown in ungrafted vineyards on the slopes of Mount Somma, the oldest winegrowing area of Vesuvius. Yields are very low, with only 5–6 clusters per vine, enhancing the wine’s complexity, finesse, and elegance.
The sandy volcanic soil gives the wine marked minerality, freshness, and strong personality. The grapes come from various vineyards in the municipalities of Sant’Anastasia, Somma Vesuviana, and Pollena Trocchia, all in the province of Naples, and are grown organically with respect for the environment.
